Our client is an acknowledged world leader in the design and supply of utility and industrial burner and related combustion systems. Their company experience and highly engineered products are represented in most major utility and industrial organizations domestically and worldwide.

They currently have an opening in their New Product Sales Support network such that they are seeking an Applications Engineer.

The position reports to the Supervisor of Applications Engineering and the individual shall possess excellent technical knowledge, communication and inter-personal skills and shall be responsible for the application of products to meet the needs of their customer inquiries. The individual shall be responsible for the management and generation of technical proposals in response to these customer requirements. As part of the applications review, this individual will interface with the sales team and their extensive network of representatives.

The individual will ideally have a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering. A minimum of 3 years experience in a utility and industrial combustion environment, together with exposure to boiler, burner and combustion systems is required.

Key Requirements

1. BS in Engineering (ME or EE preferred)
2. Knowledge of ASME codes
3. Minimum of 3 years experience in a utility and industrial combustion environment, together with exposure to boiler, burner and combustion systems is required
4. Strong communication skills, this is close to a sales role and will work with customers and sales people regularly

Location: Outside of Exton, PA

* Must have experience implementing SAP payroll or SAP HR
* 5 years of SAP payroll, Finance, HR
* 15 years of Information Services experience
* 2-3 years of management experience

This position reports directly to the Director of Applications and is responsible for leading, directing and managing a large application development organization, comprised of business process managers/analysts, programmers, technical support specialists, managers and project managers in addition to technical contract resources and consulting teams.

Responsible for the design, architecture, integration, development, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance of business application software for the Human Resources and Payroll areas.

The Manager/Sr. Manager works in close collaboration with the business units to plan and execute projects and enhancements, while maintaining and supporting current applications. Works closely with internal business customers (users, Managers, Directors, and VPs), colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify users' information requirements and seek opportunities to build systems based on current and future application platforms that will improve the business process and support critical business strategies

Leads project managers in the allocation of human and capital resources across complex projects to ensure completion of the overall program within a financial and time budget.

The candidate will possess excellent leadership/management skills, have a proven track record on delivering results, and have exceptional team skills both in leading and participating.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar or equivalent work experience.
• 15 years of overall Information Services experience, including a minimum of 5 years experience managing SAP projects, and a minimum of 5 years of SAP Finance, HR and Payroll experience
• Strong business account, and customer relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with internal customers
• Successfully developed and implemented applications in new computing architecture environments using new and emerging technologies.
• Established track record of managing technical staff through various life-cycle phases (cross functional experience highly desirable).
• Demonstrated leadership of multi discipline, high performance work teams/groups
• Managed financial resources to meet goals and multiple projects
• Demonstrated high competency in project management and the execution of multiple large projects, including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals
• Developed efficient and effective global solutions to diverse and complex business problems

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Master's degree
• PMI certification or other Project Management certification
• This position may fill at various levels depending upon candidate qualifications.
